December Update

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Road Lizards Rudolph Run and Annual
meeting. A special thanks to September Summers, Bill Cullins and Jeff Lisson
for helping us organize the race!
I am happy to report that we have had several people express interest in being
a Board Member for the 2012-2013 club year. Their names, along with their roles
and responsibilities for the upcoming year are listed below.

Julie Fowler- Vice President_
Act as President in President’s absence
Responsible for local advertisements
Oversee club sponsors
Oversee membership drive

Tina Bunnell- Treasurer_
Track & manage finances (Mertzon bank, PayPal & Compete-at.com)
RRCA membership & insurance fees
Admin. Fees (PO BOX, Website)
Track race statistics
Manage SARL income

_Adam Parker-Secretary/University Liason _
Keep/publish meeting minutes
Manage membership roster

_Jeff Lisson- Member at Large_
Organize Training Runs/Group Socials

_Tanner Bryant-Webmaster_
Manage website & links
Update/revise website

Unless I have an objection from the membership, these individuals will assume
their roles January 1, 2012. We still have not had anyone express interest in
being the Club President, whose role is of vital importance to the success of
our club. If you are the least bit interested in this position, please shoot us
an email!! The roles and responsibilities of the President are as follows:

· Oversee/manage race calendar
· Assist Race Directors in the Planning Process
· Oversee flow of information to all club stakeholders
· Responsible for any public relations initiatives
· Present other opportunities for involvement to the board for approval
· SARL liaison to: SABA, ASU Fit, TxDOT MPO, State Park, GAFB, RRCA
Manage club email account (Gmail)

As I have said in previous emails, we have race directors for every race on the
calendar. This will certainly take some of the load off of the board members
this year.

Also, mark your calendars for the 2012 Trail Series. The three races in the
series have been tentatively scheduled for 1/21/2012, 2/4/2012 & 2/18/2012.
The series will be back in a big way and will be building up to the 1st Annual
Crazy Desert Trail Race– ½ Marathon, Marathon and 50K. We will be sure to
send out the flyer once finalized!
