Welcome to your San Angelo Road Lizards website.
The San Angelo Road Lizards Running Club (SARL) is a 501c3 non-profit RRCA-sanctioned club that is dedicated to supporting running as a recreational and competitive sport and as a healthful exercise for the residents of San Angelo and the Concho Valley area. The club organizes group workouts, puts on running events throughout the year, and assists other organizations with races. SARL welcomes runners of all ability levels to join and participate in club activities and events.

We finally have flyers for the USMC Bulldog 10K/5K Run and the Run in the Sun RRCA Texas State 8K Championship. You can also register for either event on-line through active.com - see the links in the table to the left for flyers or on-line registration options.
The results from both the ASU Physical Therapy 4 Mile Run/Relay and the Spilllway Hill Off Road Duathlon have been uploaded. Check out the results tab above for the link.
Please check our 2008 Calendar for upcoming events. We'll upload flyers for all of the races as soon as we get them. Just click the links to the left for details. Additionally, we've finally set a date for the Healthy Women's Run, it will be on 11 October.
Also, we'll be providing a link for the 2008 Grand Prix series and details/rules before the Grand Prix's second event, the USMC Bulldog Run 10K on 24 May. The Grand Prix will incorporate 11 total races, with the last event being the three popular Trail Series races in early 2009.
We are still holding our group training runs on Mondays. Meet at the parking lot outside the KOA Campground on Gun Club Road at 6:00 P.M.
Mike Buck from the Angelo State ASU detachment and Ben Passons have started a marathon training group for a group of mostly Air Force runners. The group is training for the 2008 Air Force Marathon. However, anyone training for any marathon or just wanting to come out on some different group runs are welcome to participate. Email Ben at bpassons@angelo.edu for details.
We are running really low on our yellow t-shirts. Get them at the next race before they're all gone! We still have plenty of white and grey shirts, including children sizes. Contact Jeanette or Ben to buy yours.
Additionally, we may be looking at ordering some wicking road lizard singlets. If you'd be interested in purchasing one, let Jeanette or Ben know.
